Why one fixed unit
Operators want predictability. We want a durable book of equal-sized clients. Those two incentives line up. The retainer is a single unit at a single price, publicly posted, never discounted and never inflated to match a logo. Custom scope goes into a separate Custom Build engagement. The retainer stays clean.
If a project is too big for the retainer, we scope it as a Custom Build and run it alongside. If a project is small enough to finish inside the retainer, we do. You talk to the person doing the work, every week, without an account manager in the middle.
